A Dream of Wrestling–?

All life we do dream. We do motivate ourselves; work hard and sometimes dream become true. When I was young kid I saw Olympic wrestling on TV. After that I got a new dream that I would be on Olympic and win gold there. I signed up wrestling section. Hard working for 10 years I made to 1992 Olympics Barcelona. But I got short and won Bronze. After that I tried another shot and made at Atlanta 1996 and become short again at 4th. A Guy from North Korea Kim ILL won both Olympic.

wrestling clubI had 3 matches with him head to head and won 2 xs, his 1x but at the end he became champ, not me. But my Dream stayed with me. I still dream sometimes that one day Oroudjov will win Olympic Gold. I have 3 boys. All are wrestlers. Naryman is 3x NY state champ in His junior Cornell University, Vitali is 13 and George is 9 years old who just has started to wrestle. We wrestle everyday at my Wrestling club VHW. I speak with my sons about Olympic experience and about dream. If my kid would not win, I would train my Grandkids. I have the dream and want it become a truth.

But now we get some new Problems. Olympic Comity wants to drop wrestling after 2020. My family’s dream is breaking in parts and I think we are slowly going down. What we did, wrong! Have I chosen Wrong sport? My life is simple, my friends are wrestlers, and my heroes are wrestlers. Men, all I have got, is wrestling. Is it possible that wrestling remains after 2020? It is bothering me and that thing is taking my dream away from me. I Hope all will work out rightly and my family dream will live. I know I am not alone and have so many friends and coaches that have same dream. I am just waiting for some good news.

Art of Combat: Wrestling

There are some extreme power sports in the world which only powerful people can play and to play them one needs power, that muscle power in the body like no one ever has. One of them is wrestling. It is an art of combat in which there are some techniques and methods one has to learn to play it safely and aggressively. Many people think that it is a new sport that might have originated some time back ago but it is not the case. It has its roots in ancient Greece and one of the ancient sports of the world.

wrestling clubWrestling is about grappling types of techniques which involves throws, take downs, clinching, joint locks, pins and some other methods. There are many categories of it if seen by countries wise but wrestling disciplines defined by FILA. It is International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles, a federation or organization that regulates and conducts amateur wrestling as an athletic discipline.

There are two categories of it: first one is International wrestling disciplines and second one is Folk wrestling disciplines but if seen in a little different way there are five different disciplines of it that are acknowledged around the world and they are: Greco-Roman Wrestling, Grappling, MMA(Mixed Martial Arts), Beach Wrestling and Freestyle wrestling . Folk wrestling disciplines are not recognized internationally by FILA.

But all above mentioned categories and disciplines are deep in themselves that take months and years to be learned by one.

So if you want to be undefeatable, unbreakable and strong like no one then wrestling is the great and ancient art of combat that one can learn. For that purpose there  are some good wrestling club present . One of them is VHW (Vougar’s Honors Wrestling) club .
